Do I have to be a member to play at PKLYN?
No. PKLYN is open to everyone. However, members get discounted rates, early access to booking, and more special perks.
I’m new to pickleball. What should I do?
Start by creating your CourtReserve account. From there you can sign up for one of our intro to pickleball classes, join a social drop-in session, or reserve a court for a few friends.
For a hands-on introduction to the sport, set up a lesson with one of our coaches.
Do I need to bring my own paddle and balls?
No, you can rent a top of the line paddle + balls at PKLYN for $5. Or BYO.
If you’re taking either our Pickleball Try It or Pickleball 101 class, paddle rentals are complimentary.
How do I book? Are reservations required?
Yes, you will need to book through CourtReserve.
Can I coach or host my own clinic at PKLYN?
Sorry, no. Only PKLYN coaches are allowed to host lessons and clinics at PKLYN
What's the maximum number of players allowed for a court booking?
Up to six players are suggested per court. If you anticipate having more, please contact events@pklyn.com to coordinate.

Are there any age restrictions?
Unless there is a special youth program or private lesson, all children under 14 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Do I need a DUPR score?
Certain open play and leagues require a DUPR score. Create a DUPR account and join PKLYN’s DUPR club if you want to participate in some of our higher level programming. Please call us if your DUPR invite is still pending with our club.
If you can’t register for a program because your DUPR score isn’t high enough, and you have good reason to believe it is not reflective of your actual level, please contact us for assistance.
About PKLYN
Are pets allowed?
We love animals, but unfortunately, we can’t have them chasing after pickleballs. So unless they are a service animal, and leashed at all times, we have to refuse them. ☹️. Womp womp.
How is PKLYN pronounced?
Pronounced like “picklin'” and spelled like BKLYN with a P.
Is there a dress code?
No, but we recommend sneakers and athletic wear. Shirts are required.
How do I get there?
Parking is limited to street parking, so we recommend traveling by bus, train, or Citi Bike, which are all within a short walking distance.
